There is little point in screaming from the roof tops that we need more women in tech, in artificial intelligence and in leadership roles until we tackle the stereotypes and unconscious biases that are drip fed into our subconscious. Messages that strip us of our power and prevents us from reaching our full potential. Ingrid Marsh, The Bias Buster, is the founder of Women With Voices who primarily (but not solely) empowers women in tech with the tools to override bias and to increase their power, presence and personal impact so that their voices are heard.
- Bust bias and rock your authentic voice
- Bringing your authentic self to work
- Harness the power of your authentic voice
- Speak up and speak out
Ingrid Marsh, aka, The Bias Buster, is the founder the founder of Women With Voices, an organisation that works primarily (but not solely) with women in tech to help get their voices heard. The organisation tackles inequalities for women by providing the tools necessary to develop a resilient mindset and to get their voices heard. She also liaises with schools on a programme that encourages girls to change the world through coding. She is currently campaigning for the UK government to remove the jargon, and bring awareness to the general public of the gender and racial biases being reinforced in artificial intelligence.
Ingrid is dubbed as the Oprah for this generation through her inspiring talks of how not knowing her father drove her to succeed, to ultimately forgiving and thanking him. She has been described by Google Campus as a fantastic public speaker and has over 10 years experience as a speaker, broadcaster and NLP practitioner specialising in women's confidence, executive presence and communication. She is on a mission to amplify women's authentic voices and increase their visibility so that we close the leadership gap, increase our influence and signal to future generations that they can advance in their chosen careers.
Ingrid is also a serial entrepreneur owning everything from a vintage lifestyle shop in prestigious Islington, to an online street-food marketplace. Before heading into broadcasting, she worked in the City for ICV in Account Management serving some of the major financial institutions, such as JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to name but a few. Ingrid has compelling communications skills and has been the voice-over for radio adverts aired on the BBC and local radio stations. She was the resident life coach for The South London Press Newspaper and radio station Asian Star.
